The law firm of Feurzeig, Mark & Chavin (FMC) traces its roots back to 1909. Over the next 99 years the structure of the firm and name changed from time to time until the final firm, known as Titchell, Maltzman, Mark and Ohleyer, dissolved in 2008. Out of this past, came the founders of Feurzeig, Mark & Chavin.

Our firm represents a broad cross section of families and individuals doing business and living in the San Francisco Bay Area and throughout Northern California. In many cases, the families have been clients for multiple generations. That is important because a key goal of the firm is to practice law in a way that will attract and retain clients for long periods. The longevity of the attorney-client relationship creates meaningful benefits for both.

Our primary areas of expertise and practice continue to be tax and business planning with special attention to estate planning, trust and estate administration, and complex business transactions, including many aspects of real estate matters. Litigation is limited to these practice areas. We seek to be selective in the legal assignments we take on to insure maximum benefits for each client.

Our lawyers are recognized in the profession and in the community for their commitment to providing the highest level of legal services in a cost efficient manner. It starts with men and women who have had distinguished academic records and includes meaningful experiences in and out of government service. Our firm provides the unique expertise of professionals who, combined, have over 100 years of direct and successful dealings with Federal and state taxing authorities.

Our mission as a law firm is to provide quality legal services in a direct and efficient manner, and thereby to achieve the successful, long term relationship that clients expect from their attorneys.
